Proposing at anchor: the quiet half-hour that matters most

The proposals we arrange are not surprises in the theatrical sense. They are quiet half-hours, arranged so that the room — the bay, the deck, the music — disappears, and only the two people remain.

We brief the captain to slow the boat without announcing it. We brief the crew to step below for fifteen minutes after the music starts. We hold the chilled bottle, the dinner and the call to family for after — never before.

What we do not do is film it. If you want photographs, we arrange a single photographer on a tender at a respectful distance. Most couples choose not to.
